Near Real-Time Backups

Block level backups occur every 15 minutes, backing up the latest changes to your data.

Additionally, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly backups create a complete disaster recovery data set. The BDR unit stores historical copies of all your data as outlined in the following retention policy:

Complete base image of your server - Forever
Intra-day Increments (15 minute backups) - For the last 2 days
Daily Synthetics - For the last 14 days
Weekly Synthetics - For the last 5 weeks
Monthly Synthetics - Forever, as long as there is room on the BDR

On-site Virtual Server

If any of your servers fail, server virtualization allows servers and applications to be restored and rebooted in less than 30 minutes. While waiting for replacement servers, manageIT-BDR can have your business up and running while continuing to back up data from your other devices.

A Complete Backup Image

An image of all hard drive partitions is created via an agent on the BDR unit. The data is stored using AES-256 bit encryption and compressed. Block-level backup, the most efficient way to write to disk, is much less prone to errors and is not affected by open files or open databases. The block-level image is an exact digital duplicate of your on-site server(s).

Intuitive and Flexible Restoration

manageIT-BDR allows for 15 minute recovery points for files, folders, partitions, mailboxes/messages, databases/tables using a quick and intuitive process. In case of a complete server failure, we support a bare metal restore to new hardware with a different configuration.

Secure Off-site Storage

manageIT-BDR backs up encrypted data to a remote site which is then replicated to a third, secure location. Since the data is encrypted with AES-256 bit encryption and only you have the key, no one has access at any of the remote storage facilities.

24x7 Completely Managed Solution

manageIT-BDR is monitored 24x7. Failed processes generate immediate alerts to engineers, who often remotely correct errors within minutes of receiving notification. If any BDR units are irreparably damaged or destroyed, at an additional cost we will overnight ship replacements—pre-loaded with all stored data—directly to your location.
